Red Bull continues F1’s NFT advertising with Monaco gaming seat auction

Following Mercedes’ massive launch of free NFTs at the Miami Grand Prix, Oracle Red Bull Racing becomes the last thing F1 powerhouse to bring the blockchain to race day. The Web3 offering in question is a new two-part NFT auction, taking place at the most lavish event on the F1 calendar, the Monaco Grand Prix.

In line with the exclusive aura of the monegasque principalityOracle Red Bull Racing’s NFT auction will have just one big winner, with the first part of the prize going to be an exclusive Monaco edition NFT ‘Playseat’, a game-like physical simulator used by F1 drivers in practice.

Most movingly, the second part of the prize is a real Monaco edition Playseat which, to create the most authentic simulation possible, comes with a Fanatec Podium F1 steering wheel, wheelbase and CSL Elite pedals. However, the Playseat will not be new, as it will be installed in the racing paddock during the race weekend of May 27-29, with the drivers and Red Bull athletes be invited to use it before it is shipped to the lucky winner of the auction.

The auction for the illustrious pair of prizes is now live on the Bybit NFT marketplace until May 31. As the NFT is minted on the Tezos blockchain, offers will be accepted in $XTZ, with the minimum being the equivalent of $600.
