Nickelodeon Teases Its First ’90s Cartoon-Themed Collectibles

After a long wait, the staple of childhood cartoons, Nickelodeon, has revealed the first details of its upcoming NFT collection. Along the way, they mock some of their much-loved intellectual properties to the blockchain-loving world.

A lot has happened since Viacom CBS first announced its interest in non-expendables last October. For one, they have completely changed the name of their service under the new moniker ‘Paramount Global’. Now, with that administrative headache out of the way, they will begin to implement their Nickelodeon’s first collectible game.

Little is known of his NFT plans so far, other than that he will aim to play on a chord of nostalgia for his first outing by drawing on his ’90s-spanning ‘golden era’ for much of his inspiration. Judging from released promotional material, fan favorites The Rugrats and Hey Arnold! will make an appearance. However, SpongeBob, the undisputed god of the web, has not been mentioned so far.

For the moment, the Nickelodeon NFT Twitter the account and the website are up and running. For now though, fans can sign up for the newsletter and patiently wait for more info, all revving up for an exciting range of collectibles, with the first NFTs expected to arrive via Repeat this summer.
